Prediction is seductive
Markets encourage certainty because every price move appears to reward someone. Yet profitable-looking hindsight hides the uncertainty that existed before the move.
A trader can be correct about direction and still lose through poor timing, excessive size, or no exit plan.
Define the campaign
Before entry, document the thesis, trigger, invalidation point, maximum loss, and intended exit. This converts an opinion into a controlled decision.
Discipline does not guarantee profit. It limits the damage caused by improvisation under pressure.
